The weekly rhythm: Samui's night markets and walking streets
Street food, live music and the best evening in each area.

Once you live here, your week starts to follow the markets. Fisherman's Village is the classic: lanterns, street food, live music and shops in the old wooden houses. Come early, it gets crowded after 7pm in high season.
Chaweng, Lamai and Nathon
In Chaweng, the walking street at Chaweng Lake is more local, and Si Khao night market is where you eat well for little money every day. Lamai's night market is my go-to for a simple dinner after training. Nathon's pier market at sunset feels like Thailand twenty years ago.
What to eat
Grilled seafood, pad krapao, mango sticky rice, coconut ice cream and fresh fruit shakes. Bring cash and a reusable bag.
